I bought serial #1 of D-Lab's Vox Pathfinder mod a few weeks ago----and am
extremely pleased with the purchase.  It's light, portable, and has a very sweet
clean tone.  Voxish in character, but warmer and rounder due to the 6V6.  All my
Od's and fuzzes kick butt through it.....
I bought it as a recording and practice amp, but I've also used it on two
corporate gigs, miked it, and it sounded stellar through the P. A.  I played at
a function with 600 in attendance, and this baby worked!
Nice product, I will surely try out one more of D'Lab's creations in the future.

Thanks! The amp is plenty loud and plays very loud and clean. When overdriven, it gives a really pleasing distorted tone. I am very fussy about tone. This amp is the sweetest I've owned. I will recommend you highly to anyone desiring great tone at reasonable volume levels. (To anyone reading this, and in case my little rant here makes it into the "testimonials" section of the D-Labs website: Please understand, 2 tube watts will drive almost anything. I actually use a power attenuator at home when I crank this thing up.) Thanks again. You really know what you're doing. I'm enjoying the amp immensely. I wish I had bought it before I bought all the other junk I did, and before I tried all the mods that I did. Tim Hirman (Primarily a Blues Player)

This amp is prob the most beautiful, warmest sounding low wattage amp I have ever come across..

Terry
I spent about two hours with the amp, hit it with single coils, P-90's and humbuckers. It loves 'em all. The same goes for pedals. I plugged in boosters, OD's, fuzzes--every one sounded terrific! Also sounds amazing with just a touch of reverb. Yet another one you've knocked out of the park!

Terry, Hope you had a great holiday. I finally got around to taking some pictures of the finished amp project. I'm also attaching a little write up you can post on your site. If you visit http://www.keithhesser.com/guitar.htm and scroll down near the bottom there's a section about the amp. I have a picture of the guts of the amp, a picture of the chassis mounted inside the radio (which shows the power indicator light and the speaker) and a picture of the front of the radio with the faceplate. You have your own pictures of the chassis being built and if you'd like any more pictures of the assembly inside the radio I have plenty more. Thanks again for all your help on this! I am very pleased with the final product.

A friend of mine had heard one of Terry's amps in person and couldn't stop talking about how great it sounded. I visited Terry's web site and watched his videos on YouTube and I was also impressed. I really liked the amps he was building in old radios so I decided to get my own radio and have Terry build a chassis for it. After winning an auction on ebay I dismantled the radio and sent just the chassis to Terry. He cut off the existing top and then rebuilt one of his Mojo amps in its place. He sent it back to me along with a Jensen 5" speaker. My friend Roy helped me get the chassis and the speaker mounted in the radio. Everything fit perfectly and I was even able to mount a light bulb behind the existing radio dial so that it lights up when the amp is in use. The amp is surprisingly loud with just the 5" speaker, but I've also connected a 12" Celestion speaker to the amp and that sounds just amazing! This tube amp also sounds really good with a distortion pedal hooked up to it. Terry does great work and was just a joy to work with throughout the entire project. I highly recommend him.
